Re: United Faxi Planets Modular Pack - CW/SonicCore Modular

Wow yeah thats pretty expensive, up there with (smaller) analog modulars. Those only have space for a few modules though, Scope looks like it can use as many as anyone wants. Ive got a few other more important pieces of gear on my shopping list to get ahold of, itll be a long time til I can even con...

Re: Quick easy bassline sequencer for live sets

It wouldn't compare to a full 303 sequencer. Its an accident the thing even outputs MIDI, so not all the controls output correctly. For example, activating the Slide doesn't output a slide, instead it mutes the step. The killer things are the length, and the little slider with all the letters, which...

Re: why is it that ...............

When I load my own tracks in Ableton they're usually like 151.99. I write in Renoise and mix in Reaper. Ive loaded plenty of others' tracks with the same result. Live I think starts reading the BPM at 0.0.0 so if theres a tiny space at the beginning (sometimes my tracks have this, idk why), it think...

Munchausen Trilemma )live set(

First off let me clarify; I didn't record anything before starting this set, all the instruments are run by sequencers, except the bass and kick which have a handful of template clips to save the tedious piano roll clickclick work. Oh and of course the samples and the 3 studio tracks. Ive sorta desi...

Re: Cat in a Box

Figured out I can convert Renoise files to MIDI then throw the MIDI onto 64 bit versions of whatever in Reaper, which is cool cuz my Renoise is x86.

Couldn't do it with anything but the bass in this one though.

Anyway the mix is crystallizing nicely

I think the bass at the end could use some work and one of the synths has some highs to clean up

Re: Favorite basses! Share what makes the bass you love :D

For a long while Ive been looking for a straight-FM vsti similar to Operator, which rules for basses (& etc), but I don't write in Live usually. Operator is a perfect example of an ideal bass synth; no pesky modulation, no effects to turn off, great waveforms, super-intuitive envelopes, preset routi...

Favorite basses! Share what makes the bass you love :D

Im curious what everyone's favorite bass synths are! Ive been trying out all sorts of suitable instruments for basses in an attempt to test-drive as many as I can, and Ive found there are tons of good ones out there, each capable of nice basses using the same general patch settings, each with a dist...
