Post by Umpalumpa » Tue Mar 13, 2007 6:45 pm

what's your opinion about it???
for me almost all of them are fakes...i hate it :hit:
they encourage the gang culture and ignorance about being a human,a biological entity that must respect each other, we are not wolves...
here in portugal its a plague...

it's just my oppinion, and my life expirience tells me that...

Not a fan at all.

It is the philosophy behind it that sucks.

I have no opinion on the hip hop culture. I like some styles of rap, like chopped'n screwed - there are some really crazy artists, that create some really wierd/twisted beats and absolutely insane lyrics.

P.s. I hate pop rap.
P.s.2. Eminem/50 cent/such is not rap, it's pop ;)

Don't like much. I'm very picky about it. One of the only bands/artists I like are Cypress Hill. They've got some coll, dark beats and bass

i don't like listening to that babbling in music,
but i know that there is a small part of hip-hop dudes which is cool, friendly and so on, and they do their kind of underground thing, in that way as we do ... of course it's a very small group , hip hop has the characteristic to get the attention from masses of people, i think that's the problem for the few freax in that genre ^^

Hehe i like some. Most norwegian stuff..

These guys have real special style:

www.myspace.com/momrakattakk

More alternative rap with lyrics about psychedelics (sopp - mushroom
in norwegian) and more :)

As they say:

"The music of Momrakattakk is primarily influenced by being under the
influence, in all its colours, sounds and shapes. "

:)

Also like some gangster rap now and then :)

I'm really not into hip hop culture but there are artists that i like alot, like Public Enemy, Cypress hill, Dizzee Rascal, Eminem (even if it's pop ;)), Puppet Mastaz and some of Snoop dogg's songs are really good too.

but I'm still a huge fan of Roi Heenok (hahaha! Yves, do you know him? a weird guy from Montreal, "t'entends?" )

I agree with Faxinadu. Look at empty mtv at your own risk.
What's about arses, bling bling, crack and gangsta slang?
Open your eyes, those 50 cents slim shadies are *fake*
maybe the most fake people in music scene. I may add
that these productions are far away to any musician's ears

how could they think that someone who studied music for
at least one year can appreciate their babblings ???

I just speak about the so-called stars ... FAKE guys created
by majors for dumb chicks! They are billionaires who want
to appear as gangsters ... silly as their agenda:

. chicks
. cars
. drugs
. money

SAD sceners ! snoop and eminem try to make people dumb.

Ofcourse what you see on Mtv is the most commercial radio friendly
stuff there is. For psy it would be Infected and Co. They are the one
you see on mtv..

And you have to remember, there is actually a culture behind the
hiphop. Many grow up with very little money, education, parents, etc..
And rap music is a solution out of the misery, sure they play on the
gangsta image and style. But its authentic, its a fight for survival.
And the strongrst/smartest survive..

Then you can just imagine the amount you can earn on the streets. I
have great respect for all music artists, and I know Snoop is not a
stupid guy, more the opposite! And most hiphop artists artists have
started on the streets, and built themselves up. Using their skills.

And who need to study music ?? I know most rap and most psy artists
have never gone to any sound school (maybe not much school at all).
Doesnt make you stupid at all. You have your own perspective on
life/sound/whatever. Ofcourse its nice to study something you like,
but you really dont HAVE to..

You dont have to like it, but why not respect it ?
