TOKYO NEURO???

Post by opensourcecode » Mon Sep 27, 2010 8:59 am

Hey all,

My name's Cooper. I'm known as an American downtempo producer, but lately I've made two big changes in my life:

1) I moved to Japan

2) I started writing some absurdly fast psytrance.

You can hear some of the stuff i've been doing with the legendary CinderVOMIT as Datavore right here:

http://soundcloud.com/datavore

So i've gotten to know the Brain Busters crew pretty well, and I've even opened one of their parties with some of the wobbly chillstep I normally do (http://soundcloud.com/naiaddaiad if you're interested) BUT.

Datavore psytrance is waaaayyyyy too fast for them. :D

So, who in Japan is throwing parties where I could play a liveset at between 170-220 bpm? I'd really like to get some gigs to try out this new music, but I've never met anyone here who's really into the extreme stuff! They must exist! Someone must be doing it, right??

help me out!

thanks,

-Coop

Nice! E-mail sent! They're in Fukuoka though, which involves an awfully expensive Shinkansen ticket. Anyone know any crews in Tokyo who do the speedy stuff?

Congrats to moving to Japan! 8)

In Tokyo I can only suggest to checkout Extra Music crew.
