alot of good advice here, and i remember when i started out on the path to learn to mix that can be hard to find..
the only thing i can think to add is about pitch control.. to work out what the pitch should be to change ur track by 1 bpm, take the tracks bpm divide by 100 and then times by the pitch
e.g. say ur bpm is 156 / 100 = 1.56 * 0.64 = 0.9984
which in that case is as close as u can get to 1 depending on how accurate the cd player u are using is in terms of pitch
mixing techniques (live)
0.7% only holds out until about 150 bpms, then it usually works best with 0.65% but 0.7% will do nicely if you remember to correct occasionally while the mix is live. At 160 bpms it goes to 0.6% and at 180 bpms to 0.5%.kutanimal(Pleiadian) wrote: for me all it needs is to know the matematics behind bpms like if u use a cd player with the pitch at 100% if u go 0,7 u go 1 bpm..
