C-P-C - Vlad Radostavin;
Moscow,
Russia
From his childhood Vlad was in love with robots. When in Russia first computers appeared small Vlad did everything in
his child power to get it. then to study it. he opened the box, he
looked inside for those little gremlins who does all the work. he
found none. but he also found out that he can do it himself. Computers
understand simple language - programming. Natural language processing
turned into writing music for computer games.
Later, communication with electronic brains developed into more
complex relationship with robots... Vlad fell in love with musical
production. All those hardware and Synthesiser devices than can speak
on a beautiful musical language! It only needs to be translated it to
everyone! And so, simple hobby of musical programming has grown into
professional music production that resulted in 3 albums and many, many
single tracks released on various record labels.
Nowadays, more robots lives in Vlad's apartment. We can be sure Vlad
will continue to exhilarate us with his interpretation of robot's
language.
When first getting this cd I couldnt help but notice the blood on the musical scores which was on the cover. Fairly strange but it was still pretty crazy looking on the digipak. There was also what looked to be the tip of a bloody butcher knife on the back. Very appropriate considering some of the hardcore darkpsy I was about to listen to.
1. CPC da Lost Eden - La Revolusion
Started off a bit faster than I anticipated but the style was not overly aggressive. Appropriate for the first track.
This track has some nice atmospheres and floaty panning effects. Lots of cool sounds and well placed leads. It produces a very cool and strange vibe. I really like the sound at 3:45. it has this cool slow lfo sweep thing that goes into a breakdown.
Then after the breakdown its some riot samples or something and then it loops with the track. I didnt exactly thing it was appropriate for the track but whatever not my track
2. CPC da Lost Eden - Noise Fans
This track is very spacey and strange. Theres alot of sound much mostly strange leads and atmospheres. The percussion sounds simple but theres something i really like about it. The samples he uses really compliment the track. The whole track is actually a pretty nice mix, I would like to hear it on a large system.
I really like how the track totally morphs
into something else halfway through. The bass drops and a new combo of sounds are added and it feels like a different track. Alot of contrast keeps it interesting.
3. CPC da Noise Gust da Aya - Braga
I like how this track starts. Some very twisted leads. Very crazy stuff cant quite describe it. Theres just an array of crazy sounds that make this chaos and theres a insane breakdown at 1:55 that totally caught me offguard with some strange sound and reverse kick fade thingy and once it comes back in theres this sick highpitched sound lead.
I'm not exactly a huge Noise Gust fan but this track is very crazy and I like it alot. Hope to hear more like this. Like the previous track it morphs alot into more new arrays of strange sounds and atmopheres. Kind of hard to explain this one.
4.CPC da Claw da Kulu da Acid Goblins - Narco Tourist
This track starts with some hard pads and percussion. Theres some cool sounds and percussions in this track but not enough hard leads or point of interest or substance for me.
5. CPC da Lost Eden da Neodequadro - Puzzle
This is the strangest track so far. Probably mostly because of the bassnotes arent constant 1/16 notes like most psytrance and it gives it a silly vibe.
The sounds are very spacey and pan around very nicely. Its a very out there track not like normal darkpsy.
6. CPC da Claw & Kulu da Acid Goblins - Narco Tourism
Hmm, wasnt expecting this. The track felt dirty, it was very hard. I dont think thats why I dont like this track. I think it was more the lack of substance. I just dont hear a whole lot happening in this track.
7. CPC da Lost Eden - Bad Tool
This track starts off with a similar vibe to the first two. Has some great sounds mixed with this almost melodic thing I keep hearing in CPC tracks. It works nice This is a well made track, it flows and gels nicely. There are alot of changes and its paced well to keep it entertaining.
8. CPC da Lost Eden - Hochu
Another trippy one by this collaboration. I can see why almsot half the tracks are CPC da Lost Eden tracks. This is very psychedelic music and definetely takes you on a trip to remember. The track morphs as the bars go by. Everything is very smooth and trippy. There is chaos but its very well mixed and controlled. Everything has its part in the mix even though a whole lot is going on and changing. Nice piece of work, definetely worth keeping an ear out for.
CPC da Kindzadza - Wazup?
Starts off with a thick pumping bassline. Around 1 min theres a trippy breakdown that adds some anticipation for the next bar. Which kind of kicks off the power that is about to be displayed. Some insane KDD stuff comes in around 1:40. Kind of repeats for a minute or so then goes into another more intense breakdown, and then...a turn in style. What i expected but also what I hoped for. The track slowly builds power with some cool laid back sounds and then into another windup. Then back into some heavy thick leads. I really like the anticipation in this track, definetely one of my favorites so far.
10. CPC da Parasense - Vseh Na Myaso (Karmazon Remix)
This track is a bit dry for the first couple minutes with a few nice well placed sounds. Then a truely crazy super slow lfo sound comes in. It leads into some decent leads. The rest of the track is mostly just atmospheres and percussion variations but some cool stuff. Maybe lacks some point of interest and thick leads.
11. CPC da Glookanary Express - Open Heart
Very nice vibes in this track. It starts out with some very cool pads and atmospheres. Then a very deep bass comes in. The feeling this track gives off is very trippy I would love to hear it on a system. This track is so spacey and floaty it almost feels like its lifted from the ground. Around 4:30 it takes a turn and some thicker sounds come in. This track is so atmospheric, it really captures a nice theme for this album. Theres so many effects and sounds floating around and its all mixed very smoothly. Great ending.
I really enjoyed listening to this CD. The mixing and mastering was great for most of the tracks especially considering how many details were packed into some of them. All of it felt very professional but it was also very innovative. There is a lot of contrasts and different vibes and it keeps this CD quite interesting.
